Hathor, a solar deity, was considered a counterpart to prominent sun gods such as Horus and Ra. She was integral to the divine entourage accompanying Ra in his celestial voyage aboard the solar barque. Commonly referred to as the "Golden One," Hathor symbolised the radiance of the sun, with inscriptions from her temple at Dendera proclaiming that "her rays illuminate the entire earth."

The headdress of Hathor, revered for its cultural and religious importance, was adapted into the design of mirrors. This Per SaRa piece beautifully exemplifies the profound influence of Hathor's symbolism in ancient Egyptian art and daily life.
